Client Success Stories & Testimonials

See how parents, educators, and group/team leaders like you are successfully using our programs and products to guide girls through painful friendships.  Read how they are showing their girls to use their personal power in ways that feel empowering and are drama-free.

"The When Girls Hurt Girls™ program is great!  There’s a very unique aspect of this material that I was immediately drawn to: the detail of the guidance that is given.  It’s VERY specific.

What I love about this program is that it’s issue oriented (name calling, rumors, silent treatment, etc.).  When you’re a girl who’s struggling with friendships, here’s a recipe.  You’re giving them options.  That in itself is empowering.

The When Girls Hurt Girls™ guides are very practical, and the program was clearly well thought out!"

"Thank you, thank you, thank you for your most helpful tools and insights. I've been looking for your material for years.

'A Way Through' has helped me to understand the problems and functionings of the little girls in my charge. As a result, I feel that I've made more progress with some of my girls in the last 4 weeks than I made with so many others in my first 20 years of school counseling.

I've always felt so clueless - well, after all, I am a man! - and now, I feel that I'm actually starting to get it. Jane and Blair, You Rock!!!!"

"We LOVED the When Girls Hurt Girls™ Parent Seminar at our school!  It was so interactive, and the role playing was great.  It gave our parents the opportunity tostand up and practice saying out loud the words they learned.

I think it really showed everyone that a lot of parents are in the same boat.  It was a great way for parents to recognize they’re not alone.  Relational aggression is common among girls, and many people do not realize that.

Our parents really appreciated the opportunity to get help with their personal situationsthey’ve had to deal with alone. It was so helpful to be able to categorize what their daughter is dealing with and better decide on options that really work.  There were lots of “oh, yeah’s” all the way through the seminar.

The handouts were very helpful – They gave a takeaway that parents could use to follow along and take notes – and to use later at home with their daughters.

The When Girls Hurt Girls™ Parent Seminar is EXCELLENTI highly recommend it!"

“The When Girls Hurt Girls™ program literally transformed the way my girls relate to each other overnight!

I bought the When Girls Hurt Girls™ parent pack and the role play cards at the Wisconsin School Counselor Association annual conference and started using them the first week back to work.  The materials are all laid out so easy to use.

I have a group of twelve girls who are getting so much out of the role plays!!  The group keeps getting bigger!

The When Girls Hurt Girls™ materials are so much more powerful than what I was teaching before.  I had all the strategies and the I-messages, but these materials are totally in the girls' lingo and offer better and stronger comebacksthan I've ever seen!!!  The girls keep asking if we can run through the role plays again.  They are learning to pick friends who are true friends!!

I have one girl who has consistently been a bully.  These materials worked!!!  The girls used the When Girls Hurt Girls™ strategies with her and SHE CHANGED!  What a gift for all of these girls.

Thanks to Blair and Jane for all they are doing to empower girls and women!!”

"We LOVE the When Girls Hurt Girls™ program at our school! This program has always been the missing piece we’ve never had (and always needed)!

The behaviors in this program are more succinctly defined than I’ve ever seen, and the materials are so easy to use.

I have found the When Girls Hurt Girls™ materials to be very powerful with girls (and boys too!), both individually and in the classroom setting. This program is enabling me to make a real difference in how my students interact with each other."

"Blair and Jane,

I very much enjoyed your When Girls Hurt Girls™ class, especially the practical ideas to use with girls. I have attended many seminars, workshops, clinics, and websites about this topic.  I came away from your class with more ideas to use with girls than any other time!

Thank you so much for the "down to earth" ideas and for tying in literacy, which is a focus in our district.  I appreciate your mission to help empower girls with personal power and to decrease emotional aggression."

"I didn't know how to help my children because I was so crushed. I think I suffered even more than my girls did.

You created a comfort zone. Now I step back, review it, and know we'll get through it...My daughter has re-friended all of these girls."

“The tools were easy to follow, practical, and easy to replicate at a later time.  As a result, my daughter has built confidence in learning how to deal with these situations and can talk to me in a language that makes it easier for me to listen and help if necessary.”

- Beth Knudson, Asst Director

University of Iowa, College of Business

“ I thought it was good because it helps me think about what I can do to be a good friend. I really enjoyed the role playing exercises.”

- Lauren, Daughter

“My daughter had been on the receiving and giving end of RA.  As a child I also experienced RA and therefore, I wanted to do something proactive to assist her in dealing with the very difficult issues girls face.

Blair's and Jane's program was a wonderful forum for my daughter and me to talk about and share our experiences.  It helped her identify RA issues and gave her choices and tools to use.

I think as a result of this program, she is much more confident and has built many healthy relationships. The strategies that were discussed in the program were helpful for women of all ages in any environment from work to school.”
