Jane Balvanz is an elementary school counselor with over 30 years of experience in the field of education. She’s taught preschool, elementary, junior high, and grad school. Since 1991, Jane has worked as a professional school counselor, using her skills as a Registered Play Therapist. She is a recipient of the Above and Beyond Award from the State of Iowa Executive Department for Outstanding Services to Iowa’s Children.

Jane has volunteered her time as a hospice grief counselor and a Reiki Master. A gardener of plants and people, she enjoys tending both. Jane has helped many children tangled in the web of Relational Aggression. These experiences drive her writing. A mother of three, Jane attributes her greatest joys and learnings to children – her own and those of others.

Blair Wagner is a professional Leadership Coach, Speaker and Business Consultant. She enjoys serving as a leader in the coaching community in her capacity as Board President of the ICF Iowa (International Coach Federation). Blair volunteers her time to build the coaching profession and is dedicated to educating and mentoring junior coaches.

Blair’s personal experience with guiding her own daughter through Relational Aggression and her 20 years in corporate America have led her to a passion for helping individuals and organizations create a drama-free work environment (addressing workplace challenges such as information controlling, exclusion, gossip, backstabbing, intimidation, etc.) Blair believes in the power of awareness, intention, and thoughtful action.
